LASVIT introduced the Herbarium concept in 2020 as part of their highly successful international "Nature of Glass" campaign. Herbarium employs a special glassmaking technique to imprint any flower or plant in glass, capturing its unique beauty forever. LASVIT has made smaller-scale, ready-to-order versions of some of their stunning design projects available to consumers in their ICONS series - a great option between bespoke and mass-produced lighting.

When molten glass is poured over dried flowers, herbs or plants, the greenery turns to ash - but leaves its distinctive form in the surface of the glass. Some plants are painted gold first to bring natural warmth to the glass. Just like no two flowers in the world are alike, each Herbarium fixture is truly one of a kind. Herbarium is available in eight different versions, with three round and oval models in three sizes as well as special installations made for tall ceilings. Herbarium and the other LASVIT ICONS do not include lit elements. Our sales team can help design an architectural lighting solution to help illuminate these sculptural glass editions.
